The importance of temperature control in bottle cap molds

The current application of bottle cap molds is quite extensive. In our daily lives, they are widely used in various packaging industries such as edible oil, beverages, sugar cubes, and pharmaceuticals. They have the characteristics of high quality, energy saving, high efficiency, and long service life. So what are the advantages of bottle cap molds?

Bottle caps have relatively complete and consistent quality standards and caliber parameters, so the production and manufacturing of bottle caps are relatively standardized. It can be said that the blowing mold determines the shape of the plastic bottle, and the preform largely determines the quality of the plastic bottle. The importance of plastic bottles goes without saying.

In addition, the bottle cap mold adopts the internationally leading two-stage double taper positioning technology, with each cavity independently self-locking to ensure the concentricity of the mold. A good cooling system achieves high efficiency of room temperature water cooling and eliminates the need for shear gates, reducing labor intensity for workers. The mold has a lifespan of at least 3 million mold cycles.

Temperature control is extremely important in the process of plastic mold injection molding, as it not only affects the quality of the product but also its molding cycle. Different plastics have different flowability, so their temperature control is also different. Plastic with good fluidity is generally controlled at around 60 ℃; Plastic with poor fluidity is generally controlled between 80 ℃ and 120 ℃. In addition, the cooling process of crystalline plastics and amorphous plastics is also different, which should be noted during the injection molding process.

During the injection molding process of plastic molds, if the temperature is too high, it will affect the uneven shortening rate of the molding, leading to deformation of the mold products; If the temperature is too low, it will reduce its fluidity, resulting in defects or streaks on the surface after molding. If the temperature of the mold is uneven, it will cause uneven temperature after curing, resulting in stress and deformation and cracking of the formed product. So temperature control has a significant impact on the shortening rate, stability, quality, and other aspects of the product. We must pay extra attention when injecting plastic molds.
