Precautions for bottle preform mold testing

Before delivery from the factory, molds need to be tested to inspect their quality and improve the product quality. What are the precautions that bottle preform mold manufacturers should pay attention to during the testing process?

At the beginning of injection molding, it is not allowed to immediately fill the mold cavity with material, and the injection volume should be gradually increased.

2. Adjust relevant equipment and injection molding process parameters according to the actual condition of the product during injection molding.

3. The socket at the top of the mold and the heater inside the mold must not come into contact with water, otherwise it will cause damage to the heater and temperature control box parts inside the mold.

When heating the preform mold, first turn on the main channel temperature. Wait for the main channel temperature to rise to the set value before turning on the bypass switch to avoid premature heating of the bypass channel, which may cause the raw materials to decompose and turn black.

5. Set relevant equipment and process parameters, and after reaching the set values, open the mold according to the required mold action sequence.

6. According to the sequence of actions required for the preform mold, repeat the empty load test mold action multiple times to check whether the valve needle opening and closing of the mold are synchronized, and whether the slider system is smooth and in place.

7. If the cooling water is not turned on for the preform mold, do not heat it up as high temperatures may cause damage, deformation, and other issues to the mold parts and seals.

8. Connect water, gas, electricity, and hydraulic pipes according to the requirements of the preform injection molding machine and mold.
